Invisible

Okay, this picture and title have nothing to do with the text, but that's ok.
Today I was on a bus coming back from seeing a play and a woman in a car pulled out of her driveway without looking both ways. The bus stopped suddenly (so, you know, he wouldn't kill her) and we all jolted forward. Except one sweet, cute old man went flying off his seat onto the floor and hit his head on the pole. He got up, embarassed, but he was bleeding. Soon the blood covered half his face and the driver pulled over at the next stop and called an ambulance. Then we waited for another bus while an ambulance and firetruck came.
The man was fine, a little bloody but he said he didn't even have a headache. And if it was me I sure would be embarassed. Eventually we got on the other bus and went back 'home'.
Things like this take you out of the numbing routine of life... makes you realize that things are happening. Big or small, drastic changes occur in peoples lives every day; good or bad, planned or unplanned.
It's real.
